Reviews Overview

Most Liked

So's Kitchen excels in customer satisfaction with its flavorful menu and superb service. Guests often rave about the generous flavor profiles in dishes like braised beef and prawn dumplings, which are consistently praised for their freshness.

The freshness of ingredients stands out; many diners appreciate that it doesn't feel heavy or oily. The BYO policy is another big hit, keeping meals economical while allowing guests to enjoy their favorite drinks.

Moreover, the relaxed atmosphere is perfect for a casual lunch or family dinner, promoting a sense of community. Regulars often mention how they appreciate the friendly staff who make dining here feel like visiting a friend’s home.

Most Disliked

While So's Kitchen generally receives positive feedback, some diners note areas for improvement. A few guests mention that during peak times, the restaurant can get quite busy, leading to longer wait times for food. Although service remains friendly, it may feel slightly rushed during the dinner rush.

Additionally, there are mentions of the occasional dish lacking consistency in flavor. Though this isn't a common complaint, some customers have experienced variation in taste with repeated orders of the same dish, which can be disappointing for regulars who are accustomed to a certain standard. Lastly, those expecting a sophisticated dining setting might find the casual atmosphere less appealing.

We’ve been going to so’s kitchen for over 10 years as a favourite option when having dinner out as a family, It’s our number one choice, we often bring friends along with us who also love it. It is by far one of the most authentic Chinese restaurants you can eat at outside of London, with such a good range of options. Having Chinese routes ourselves, the food is so comforting, really authentic and high quality; the flavours are sensational and it never feels too heavy or oily - ingredients totally fresh. Bring your own booze is a great policy as it keeps the cost low, but they do offer a fantastic range of soft drinks and teas. Pricing is extremely reasonable and especially when compared to what you can get elsewhere. We love the staff, such friendly and kind service. The wait time on food is also spot on - pretty quick but not so much so that you can’t first relax and have a drink with some prawn crackers. Inside it has a very relaxed atmosphere, perfect for casual dining - nice and simple, you’ll never feel rushed out. Great location with tons of parking nearby. We will continue to return to So’s Kitchen as we cannot get enough.

This is the best Chinese takeaway I’ve ever eaten out of maybe 15-20 over the years. Have been eating here for 7 years and I will never go anywhere else. Every dish I’ve tried has been incredible. Clearly they use MSG, which is brilliant because it makes Chinese food taste… well Chinese. Everything tastes fresh and flavourful and the staff are friendly. Worth a journey to pick up.

You cannot fault the food here. We’ve been coming to this take away for just under two years now and every time we come the food gets better and better. We’ve have to physically stop ourselves from ordering every week! The staff are always friendly and recommend the most delicious dishes. Our go to order is a house chow mein with the gravy and kung po chicken both highly recommended!

The food is as good as in Hong Kong. Yes it hasn’t got napkin or tablecloth. As least the food comes out hot and tasty. If you are not happy with what I said, by all means go to a restaurant in Horsell, Guildford or Addlestone. They all have service charges to bump up your final bill. Is it worth it?

Best Chinese in Woking, if not in Surrey. We order regularly and it's consistently awesome. We have yet to try and eat in.
